Supporting the people who support the people who make the economy go

SCMEP

THE ASK

In South Carolina, manufacturing is the foundation of the state’s economy. And the S.C. Manufacturing Extension Partnership is who manufacturers turn to when they need help improving any aspect of their operation. In turn, SCMEP turned to SLANT to help them refine their brand, sharpen their message and better target their marketing efforts.

THE OUTCOME

With more than 5,000 manufacturing companies in the state, South Carolina is a target-rich environment. SLANT helped SCMEP share their story with those businesses, helping lead to new relationships and clients.

BRAND STRATEGY

Before we could elevate SCMEP’s advertising efforts, we first needed to expand SCMEP’s brand – from a logo to a fully formed identity system. Not only did this give us more design flexibility for branded materials, but the introduction of new, brighter colors and visual designs helped establish a much needed wider audience appeal.

CAMPAIGN CREATION

SLANT helped identify two brand archetypes for SCMEP,  which led to the development of complementary campaigns designed to engage manufacturing companies who could benefit from SCMEP’s unique combination of expertise and resources. The multi-platform campaigns included digital ads, print ads, video, and PR.

WORKFORCE PLAYBOOK

Increasingly, organizations and corporations are utilizing different types of long-form content to supplement their outreach efforts and as value-adds for their customers and clients. In this case, SCMEP wanted to respond to a growing chorus of voices concerned about the rising threat to their business stemming from workforce development issues. Enter the Workforce Development Playbook, which SLANT’s creative team turned from a word document into something far more engaging and easy to read.
